AAFP Advanced Life Support in Obstetrics (ALSO®) Workshop
Central Simulation Lab,Malla Reddy Institute of Medical Sciences conducted an AAFP Advanced Life Support in Obstetrics (ALSO®) Workshop to strengthen the knowledge and clinical skills of healthcare professionals in managing obstetric emergencies. The workshop focused on evidence-based, standardized, and team-based approaches to maternity care.
Participants engaged in interactive learning, hands-on skills training, and team-based simulation scenarios covering obstetric emergencies, including hypertensive disorders of pregnancy, shoulder dystocia, postpartum haemorrhage, labour dystocia, assisted vaginal delivery, and trauma and resuscitation in pregnancy.
The program provided participants with an opportunity to enhance their emergency preparedness, communication, teamwork, and decision-making skills for providing safe and effective maternal care.
